Full-Time Internship Position (Greater Washington/Baltimore area)

Role Description

​

Illest Environmental is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented full-time summer intern based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. You will work alongside experienced engineers and environmental professionals (including directly with Illest Environmental's co-founders) on a variety of large infrastructure construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in environmental compliance, noise and vibration monitoring, site assessments, operations, and more at a rapidly growing firm.​​

Responsibilities

​

• Support Engineer in the development of environmental compliance plans and reports.

• Support Engineer in implementing and maintaining noise and vibration monitoring plans in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

• Assist Engineer with designing environmental and noise & vibration solutions by analyzing data and providing recommendations based on assessments.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure client expectations are met with high-quality deliverables.

• Learn about compliance with regulations, standards, and project specifications.

• Support community relations teams in response to inquiries or complaints.

Qualifications

​

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Desire to grow a career in the environmental engineering field.

• Desire to gain experience in environmental compliance, noise and vibration assessments, data analysis, and noise control solutions.

• Proactive attitude and ability to shift focus as projects and tasks come up.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.​​​

Duration: 10 week period (Summer) with opportunity for growth

Pay: $20-25/hour

Ability to Relocate: Greater Washington and Baltimore area; Relocate before starting work (Required)
